She is the secretary of Sithi Aba Badala old age club; one of the clubs in our network of self-help groups.
This club is made up of seniors who live in Site C, Khayelitsha. While she shares that Site C is not a positive place to live, filled with crime and gun violence even in the daylight; Sithi Aba is a place her and her friends find refuge.
When they meet together, they spend their time crocheting and sewing, helping each other carry the weight of life. Nomathamsanqa serves her club with humility and diligence, always looking for opportunities to enhance their lives.
Every GAPA senior that crosses paths with her thinks that she is phenomenal and that is why she is our first senior of the month!
